2018 Australian Interior Design Awards – Aberfeldie Cellar

We are thrilled that Aberfeldie Cellar has been short listed in the 2018 Australian Interior Design Awards.

Congratulations to CoLAB Design Studio who designed this stunning private wine room. The wine wall consists of six EuroCave Revelation Wine Cabinets… the ultimate in quality, design and luxurious features.

The client’s brief initially was to create a climate controlled wine cellar that would age his wine collection in perfect conditions. He also wanted to be able to invite guests into his cellar to taste wine. The problem was that a room set at 14 degrees Celsius and high humidity would not be a pleasant environment in which to entertain.

Instead, Tania MacPhee, Managing Director of EuroCave Australia recommended creating a wine wall encompassing six beautiful EuroCave Revelation wine cabinets which would protect his wine collection and allow the remainder of the room to remain at room temperature. We also recommended joinery to frame the wine cabinets, a plinth to elevate the units and cabinetry for glassware, decanters and other wine accessories as well as a table and chairs so guests can sit and enjoy fine wine.

Revelation wine cabinets are the perfect choice to create luxurious wine walls and include seamless glass doors, full cabinet lighting and soft close shelving with black gloss fascias and individual “mains du sommeliers” which cradle each bottle of wine, along with a long list of features that provide the ultimate in wine storage for the discerning collector.
