The Block Wine Room

A little piece of Provence in Melbourne.

For their wine room on The Block 2021, Ronnie and Georgia created a space that transported the judges from Melbourne to the south of France.

A sculptural spiral staircase leads down to a richly layered room, where a paved floor, butcher’s block table and relaxed seating create an intimate setting for opening and sharing wine. The design earned Ronnie and Georgia first place for the week, with the judges particularly taken by the atmosphere they had created.

Built into the cabinetry is a EuroCave Revelation wine cabinet. Made in France, the Revelation feels entirely at home in a room inspired by Provence. Its full amber lighting brings warmth to the collection, while a soft-close presentation shelf allows selected bottles to be displayed alongside those being stored.

More importantly, the cabinet provides the stable conditions wine needs to mature as intended, allowing the collection to remain protected within a room designed for enjoying it.

It is a space that understands wine is about more than the collection itself. It is about choosing a bottle, opening it and sharing it around the table.
