At Aru in Melbourne, wine is part of the experience from the moment you enter.

Designed by Figureground Architecture, the restaurant brings a contemporary Australian perspective to Southeast Asian flavours. Behind the terrace bar, six EuroCave Pure wine cabinets form an illuminated wine wall, placing the collection firmly within the architecture of the space.

The installation is deliberately visible. Bottles are presented behind seamless glass doors, with warm amber lighting complementing the restaurant’s rich, atmospheric interior. Rather than treating wine storage as a back-of-house necessity, Aru makes it part of the dining room.

But presentation is only half the story.

EuroCave Pure wine cabinets are designed to create the stable conditions fine wine requires, protecting bottles while keeping them accessible for service. At Aru, that means the wine list can be displayed with confidence while each bottle remains carefully stored until the moment it is selected.

For restaurants, the balance matters. A wine collection needs to perform operationally, preserve the integrity of the wine and sit naturally within the design intent of the venue. Here, six cabinets work together as a single architectural statement. A fitting home for wine in a restaurant where every detail of the experience has been considered.
